Test2008 - Test Excellence through Speed and Technology is an International testing conference being held in Delhi. It is a unique conference with speakers from 12+ nations and participants from 30+ nations. At least 6 authors of books on software testing will participate The purpose of the conference is to expose Indian Testers to great minds in software testing so that Indian testers can play an important role in the world testing scene.

Test2008 has two sets of events - Preconference tutorials (13th, 14th and 17th October) being held in Bangalore, Delhi, Hyderabad and Pune and Conference (15th and 16th October) being held in Delhi.

Some of the salient features of this unique, never seen before in India, conference are:

Learning from innovative ideas, discussions, networking . Panel discussions with industry leaders

The conference venue is also unique - Gandhi Smriti & Darshan Samiti, Rajghat, New Delhi. Gandhi’s ideal was self-reliance and the role that Charkha played in our struggle for freedom is now being played by IT.

Computers in the land of charkha is not an anomaly, rather it is a new avatar of charkha. In a narrower perspective of software testing this conference should help indian testers by exposing them to great and innovative ideas from some of the best testing thought-leaders in the world. This should give an impetus to them for participating more in International conferneces around the world, encourage them to write about testing in articles, blogs and papers. This conference will hopefully enable them to starting thinking on new innovative lines and hopefully contribute to the larger body of knowledge of software testing.
